Hollie McFarlane was brought up in Pwllheli, North Wales, and now lives in Wrexham with her husband and young daughter. She has been a secondary school teacher for 20 years and has recently undergone treatment for breast cancer. She was motivated to write Sometimes, Mummy Feels… so that young children could understand the emotions and feelings of parents battling the disease. In her spare time, she likes to eat cake and run. But not at the same time!
